He was a jewler for many years before he started making knives. His detail in all his filework is amazing. This is a rare opportunity to own one of knives. The handle material is mastadon and it has green, blue and browns in it which really adds to the beauty of this elegant folder. The screws are even fileworked and the larger one has his initials in it (WM). It is numbered on the inside and shows the year it was made. I believe the damascus is Devon Thomas but not positive. This is a sweet edition to any custom collector. This liner lock opens and closes so smooth you will be addicted to opening and closing it. This is a real gem and shows evern better in person than it the pictures. Feel free to contact me with any questions. This linerlock folder by William McHenry features a damascus blade with fileworked spine, and a thumbstud with a saphire inlay. The handle has damascus bolsters, mastodon ivory scales and stainless steel backspacer. One screw on the bolster has the initials WM and the other has filework as well. Inside the spine is engraved McHenry 1991 125. His initials can also be found near the base of the blade. There is a small section of abalone shell in the spine. Measures approx 6″ open and 3 1/3″ closed. Knife has never been used or carried, it does have a very small scratch on the handle – see last photo.
