Seki city, Japan has been the centre of Japanese cutlery production since the middle of the13th century. Mcusta combines the traditional Japanese craftsmanship with modern machinery and design software. Unlike other brands, Mcusta does not use the conventional method of die stamping their blades. Every component is CNC machined and laser cut to assure the best possible precision fit. Each knife is then hand assembled and hand finished and inspected by Mcusta’s craftsmen. The Take is a small dress folder with eye catching aesthetics and excellent balance. The African Ebony wood handles are contoured to resemble bamboo. The blade is a 33 layer VG-10 core nickel Damascus. Expertly crafted in Japan, these knives have a VG10 core with a 33 layer nickel Damascus blade for enhanced corrosion resistance as well as allowing for superior edge holding capabilities. This does however make the knife slightly more difficult to resharpen. The variety of handle materials used in these knives also adds a unique flair to each knife.
