The handle has zirconium scales with super conductor inlays, zirconium pivot collars, San Mai Damascus backspacer and tip up zirconium pocket clip with hidden screws. Nice Detent, lockup and blade seating. Includes a padded zippered case. Blade measures 3.625″ in length and 8.375″ total. Closed length is 4.875 and it weighs 9.9 ounces. Drop point Blade is Damascus, San Mai. About the Maker – My name is Peter Martin and I have been making knives for over 20 years and I’m a voting member of the Knifemaker’s Guild. I believe in sole authorship and I stand behind my knives 100%. All of my knives are handmade 1 at a time. Forge welding the damascus billets, patterning and shaping the blades is performed solely by myself to ensure the finest quality control. I’ve spent a lot of time and resources researching and testing for proper heat treatment of my blades and I can guarantee that they are heat treated to perform to the best of their abilities for which they were intended. I select only the best natural handle materials available at the time. I have no “get by” factor. It’s either the very best or it’s not used. My knives, are just that, made by me down to the smallest detail. On occasion I will allow other qualified artists to perform engraving or scrimshaw work on my knives. Custom Knife with Pearl Handle and Damascus Blade. Full Fileworked Liners Inlaid Abalone Backspacer. Stunning full dress custom folding knife handmade by Peter Martin, well known Wisconsin custom knife maker whose reputation was further enhanced after his appearance on “Forged in Fire”. The knife features presentation grade white pearl handles, mokume bolsters, and a Devin Thomas Damascus blade with Martin’s distinctive shamrock cutouts. The spine is extraordinary, with full fancy filework on the liners and abalone inserts in the backspacer. Knife measures about 8″ open and about 4-5/8″ closed. Excellent condition; blade opening is somewhat stiff. When I bought this knife several years ago, I emailed Mr. Martin to ask whether he could provide any info about it. The blade is stainless Damascus from Devin Thomas. Built between 1999 and 2000. Clover leaf Piercing is my mark on fancier folders and a few high end straight knives. Front bolsters are Mokume. Handle white Mother of Pearl, inlays are Abalone. There is another knife similar to this one but it has walrus handle, I built these two at the same time.
