The bolsters and liners are mirror polished Nickel Silver. The BX-8 is a limited edition with 999 pieces, manufactured to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Muela brand. It is a piece made of steel X50CrMoV15. It has the handle of green maple root wood, with the number of the article of the series engraved on the blade. A gift presentation case is included. Each knife is serial numbered and this knife is serial number 326. The knife also comes with a velvet lined Muela case and certificate. It is one gorgeous knife. BEAUTIFUL DAMASCUS 1989 CASE XX FOLDING KNIFE W. CASE & SONS CUTLERY; Bradford, Pennsylvania. Pattern number is 51405L D – LOCKBACK-DAMASCUS PATTERN NICE AGED-STAG HANDLES. Length 3 3/4 closed. Appears to have factory edge on blade s. Harpened, with full blade. Attractive oval shield (see closeup). I added 3 closeup photos of the blade edges (last 3 images). The Damascus for the knife came from the Fain/Edwards factory in Alabama. Handles well-matched front and back; without cracks on front or back, and perfect. Tight knife with absolutely no blade wobble. Good snaps on all blade when opening and closing. I have not cleaned, buffed, or otherwise modified this knife. See photos for details.
