This knife IS brand new in the unique Boker “display” packaging. However, this knife is also a survivor of a fire that ravaged my distributors warehouse. The knife itself was not damaged in the fire, but the box did have a small amount of soot on it which I have wiped away, and it appears the “rubberized plastic” sheets that sandwich the knife show a little light-fading at the left side (the display box itself is not perfect). You can still detect the smell of smoke on the box itself.
