Blade is leaf-shaped symmetrically hollowed out dagger 3 ¼ inch in length at the cutting edge and symmetrical to it false edge. Blade relatively wide at 1 1/8 inch for its length, with pronounced center spine and proper shaping to both sides. Hand-forged out of darkened Alabama Forge Damascus of “wild” pattern. Spine’s bottom hand-decorated with filing. Fit and finish is superb, the blade is well-centered, the grind is consistent, and the overall appearance is of great quality, tactile and opulent- just like a fine Purdey’s shotgun! The handle layered construction held by screws, enabling disassembly for cleaning. The handle is free of rattle and feels as solid as a bank vault. The file-decorated steel liners are overclad with contoured bronze bolsters and polished luxurious mineral-rich mammoth tooth scales. Steel spine holds two inset gemstones: – a ruby and a yellow citrine, which further underlines the luxurious nature of this knife.
